The Cardinals can have a player development system as good as the Rays/Orioles and then put on top of that the long term ability to have ML payrolls in the $150, $160, $170, etc. million range. I think too many Cardinals fans believe it is "beneath" the team (or themselves as fans) to think of the Cardinals as needing to be more like the Rays ...
