bowtech2006. I love the IW heads, and picked up a pack of the cutthroat 250 grain heads, I'm a couple years out from a, cape Buffalo hunt and so far cutthroat, IW and bishop heads are on the list. I can't tell you anything between the cutthroat and IW since all I have is the 100 IW heads And the 250 CT to compare.
Cutthroat Broadheads AMAZING. I had been planning a trip to SA for a Cape buffalo hunt and I looked hard at several heads from the Ashby’s, German kinetic to the tuff head and the cutthroat. From the university of youtube and conversation with guys I know that have shot the cutthroats I decided to use the Cutthroat 200 single bevel (RH).. My ...

I've done a ton of testing and hunting with Cutthroats, they kill very well and are near indestructible. Unless you miss the vitals of course Here ...

The cutthroats are hardened to 55Rc, the VPA is only 50 Rc, so the Cutthroats can be made sharper and will hold an edge longer, thats why you hear of shooting multiple animals without resharpening. Do not pat the $5 to have them sharpened, they only hand sharpen them.
I shoot both. The Cutthroats are hardened to 55Rc and the VPA only 50Rc, they will get sharper and stay sharper after a pass through. Both shoot great for me. I like the single bevel as it is on a 25 degree angle and is easy to sharpen on a KME broad head sharpener (only 2 surfaces) and touch up the tanto.
Bill V - Iron Will Broadheads. An extremely sharp and strong cut on contact head will out penetrate a 3-blade chisel point head since it takes much less force to penetrate. Push an Iron Will and a chisel point head through a hide by hand and this will become obvious.
The single bevel head did just what it was supposed to do; split a rib on the way in and kept on going. Darren. From: elkstabber. 18-Aug-17. The Cutthroat is a great broadhead. It's simple, solid, and can not fail. The wide variety of bows and animals above are a true testament to the broadhead's performance.
Nlpp67. I shoot the standard cutthroats but have been looking at the S7. While I haven’t used them, if they are more durable than the standard they should be pretty much indestructible. I’ve shot the standards through multiple deer and all look new after a light touch up. Great broadheads, and if the new steel is better than the original ...
The iron will is a great head but i find the tuffhead is easier to sharpen. The cutthroat is a great broadhead but edge durability was far less than the tuffhead. Reply Like. Z. Zero One Actual Discussion starter. 46 posts · Joined 2021. #12 · Apr 5, 2021. Thanks sir. Reply Like.

I wanted to optimize penetration of my Cutthroats dropping a little hotmelt to the end of the "cup". smoothing the steep transition out nicely.Bet theres no noise if there was.Stays put and harms nothing. Iron Wills solids are the current favorite though. Like.
