The series produced by the Grundy Organisation was created and devised by Alan Coleman with Reg Watson acting as Executive Producer.. Watson had been the Producer of the British TV soap opera Crossroads from 1964 to 1973 and he moved back to Australia to help set up a new drama department within the Reg Grundy Organisation, which at the time, was better known for its game and quiz shows.

Diana McLean is an Australian stage and television actress and voice over artist, best known for her role as Sister Vivienne Jeffries in TV soap opera The Young Doctors in 618 episodes from 1978 and 1981.
Young (who died in 1998), so relished playing a doctor on TV that he regularly gave speeches at medical conventions and was known for offering pre-WebMD health tips to his cast and crew on the set.
