I don't know enough to edit the body of the Help page (I've not yet used Mathpix so don't know how good it is, and how compatible with Wikipedia, and don't know what else is out there), but I think there should be a Tools section with this sort of information.
It does not work with partially compressed table wikitext either (such as for tables with row headers).
