Maambayar was born on 16 May 1996 in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia as the only son of the family. When he was a child his parents went abroad for work and he spent most of his childhood with his grandparents. In 2003, he enrolled at the 84th school and graduated in 2013.

Hobby School was founded in 1994. [1] Oyuntsetseg Durvuljin was the principal since its foundation. The school principal since 2015 is Tselmuun Gal. [2] In the 2010–11 academic year, the school became the first school in Mongolia to offer AP classes and administer AP examinations. [3]
Previously, the examination was organized by Education Evaluation Centre alongside that of other 2 schools, but in 2016, the schools were given the right to organize by themselves.
