'08 Sandstorm- lifted a bit, taller tires, a front bumper that's not very heavy and doesn't catch on anything (really need to build a rear to match- hopefully coming soon!), home made sliders, some lights, titanium muffler bearings, upgraded high performance blinker and headlight fluids, 0W-000 synthetic horn oil- yeah, it's a lot of fun!

I am looking into the "idea" of fitting somethink like portal drop boxes to me 80 series. I seem to remember reading they someone made them to bolt stright on to the LC axle. But I cannot find where I have read it. I have done a search, but can only find Unimog or Volvo info. I want to keep the Toyota axles as I have FF lockers. Paul

Location. For sale : unimog 406 axles custom built to be on the toyota ( passenger side drop ) these are portal axles . They have a EXAXT pinion conversion so they can be used with a drive shaft . They have been converted to disc brakes , and you can run 16.5 rims with this set up . They come from the factory with air locking diff's .
