Rick Sanchez from Earth C-137 is a mad scientist who seems to know everything in the universe and thus finds life a traumatizing and pointless experience. Following the murder of his wife Diane and daughter Beth Sanchez in his native reality (C-137) by his parallel self Rick Prime, Rick dedicates his life to hunting Prime down, developing inter-dimensional travel and a portal gun.
Rick transfers his consciousness into one of the SEAL Team Ricks and kills the others. He infiltrates the Citadel of Ricks, and manages to teleport the station into the same space as the Federation prison. This propels both sides into a massive battle; Rick then uses the ensuing chaos to rescue Morty and Summer and kill the Council of Ricks.
Rick informs the Council about the real killer, clearing his name. Morty continues to be upset with Rick; Rick refuses to apologize, but assuages Morty's anger by calling him the "Mortyest" of them all. Soldier Ricks clean up the "Evil" Rick and Morty's base, directing the Morty prisoners to the Citadel as refugees.
