Posted on Jun 27, 2022 9:12 AM. Yes. The problem is all my phone numbers are in the format +cc (xxx) xxx-xxxx (mine being +1 (xxx) xxx-xxxx) and Apple Pay claims its an invalid phone number because its no 10 digits ( (xxx) xxx-xxxx). I should also note that this only [appears to] happens when using Apple Pay on websites that support Apple Pay.
I can also apply that Custom Format to other cells as long as 1 cell in the selection already has the Custom Format (when this is the case, the Custom Format shows up as a option in the list of formats in the ( i ) menu). So, I can enter the 10 digit number in those cells and it is "automatically" formatted as a phone number.

When you add a land line number instead of defaulting to two digits and then the phone number (09 123 4567) it defaults to 3 digits (061 234 567).

Numbers not showing 0 in front of phone number I have set a phone number custom format in a cell so that it has spaces in it, but it doesn't show the zero at the beginning of the phone number. The number showing should be 0413 867 401 but only shows 413 867 401. Many thanks, Hayley 413 867 401 Many thanks, Hayley
Oct 23, 2019 1:31 AM in response to KolaKube70. The workaround that worked for me is to maintain all phone numbers on iDevices in E.164 format. Change all UK numbers from 01234 567890 format to +44 1234 567890 format and all should be working. wiktor289.
