[6] In late April 2004, Adventist Health System applied with the Illinois Health Facilities Planning Board to have a $152 million, 138-bed hospital built in Bolingbrook, Illinois.
In late June 2014, Adventist La Grange Memorial Hospital got approval from the La Grange village board to expand and renovate its emergency department to 7,000-square-foot. [13] In early October 2014, Adventist La Grange Memorial Hospital had a groundbreaking ceremony for its emergency department. [ 14 ]

Mercy Health Springfield Regional Medical Center opened in 1950 on the former grounds of the Knights of Pythias Orphanage. It was first called the Mercy Medical Center and later merged with Springfield Regional Medical Center Fountain Boulevard Campus [ 2 ] before changing its name to Mercy Health Springfield Regional Medical Center in 2017.
