The Citrus Belt League is one of the five founding leagues of the California Interscholastic Federation (CIF) when established in 1913. It was the only Division I league in the San Bernardino-Riverside County area since its inception, until 2006, when CIF Southern Section reorganized it to Division II. [1]
The California Interscholastic Federation (CIF) is the governing body for high school sports in the U.S. state of California. CIF membership includes both public and private high schools. Unlike most other state organizations, instead, for some sports, the CIF's 10 Sections each have their own championships.
The state championships will be held May 11-13 at Clovis West High.

CIF was officially formed in 1914 and became statewide in 1917. [1] The service area was larger, encompassing what is now the CIF Los Angeles City Section, which broke off in 1935, and the CIF San Diego Section which broke off in 1960. Imperial County was once part of the section as well, but broke off in 2000 to join the San Diego Section. [2]
The NCAA Men's Division II Swimming and Diving Championships consist of 14 individual, 5 relay, and 2 diving events. Three relays and one individual event have been added since the first Championships in 1964.
