Recent pebbledash finish to rear elevation and extensions. Square-headed window openings having pedimented hoods on scroll brackets both of cast tinted concrete to ground floor and gables. Segmental-headed window opening with segmental hood of same profile on similar brackets to first floor.
Corn trading normally took place on Tuesdays in Ipswich and in the 18th century under a Market Cross in the Cornhill. The arches are supported on pilasters with decorative iron capitals and bases footed on iron sills.
Above these are iron balustraded balconies on scrolled iron brackets in front of bow windows with deep friezes and cornices. In the top floor are tripartite sash windows. The shop is flanked by wing walls, each containing a segmental archway, over which is a frieze and a cornice, and the walls are surmounted by ribbed urns.
The upper floors are divided by pilasters, the windows have flat heads, and the central window in the middle floor has a cornice on scroll brackets. On the three-bay east front is a rusticated flat-roofed porch with a balustrade , containing a round-headed doorway with a fanlight .
