Prior to November 1, 2019, anyone who resided in a state where carrying a handgun does not require a license and who is legally eligible to carry in their state was able to carry a handgun in Oklahoma without a permit. As of November 1, 2019, the law was expanded to allow for permitless carry for anyone legally eligible to possess a firearm.
