West Roxbury is a neighborhood in Boston, Massachusetts, United States, bordered by Roslindale and Jamaica Plain to the northeast, the village of Chestnut Hill and the town of Brookline to the north, the city of Newton to the northwest, the towns of Dedham and Needham to the southwest, and Hyde Park to the southeast.
According to the U.S. Census Bureau, the Lower Berkshire Valley CDP has a total area of 1.03 square miles (2.67 km 2), of which 0.02 square miles (0.05 km 2), or 2.23%, are water. [1] The area is drained by the Rockaway River , which passes just east of the CDP boundary and flows east to the Passaic River at the Essex County border.
