The patron saints of the Diocese of San José in California are Saint Joseph and Clare of Assisi.The diocese serves 525,000 Catholics, encompassing 54 parishes, missions, and pastoral centers, eight preschools, 26 TK/K-8th grade, 28 elementary schools and one high school, three college/university campus ministries, one of which part of a Catholic university, and several Catholic cemeteries.

The McGeorge School of Law, University of the Pacific Sacramento Campus, Sacramento High School, and Christian Brothers High School are located in this neighborhood. Oak Park is informally bounded by U.S. Route 50 to the north, Stockton Boulevard to the east, the South Sacramento (99) Freeway to the west and Fruitridge Road to the south. [ 1 ]
The church was founded in 1980 as Jubilee Worship Center by Dick Bernal. [1] In 1998, the church moved in a new building. [2] In 2000, they began a hip-hop worship service. [3] In 2015 it was announced that Bishop Michael Pitts would be holding monthly revival meetings at the Church.
The original St. Joseph's Church was called San Jose de Guadalupe [2] built on the site of the current basilica in 1803, and was the first non-mission parish built in California for the benefit of Spanish settlers instead of the Mission Indians (Ohlone).
Holy Cross Parish was founded in 1906 as a mission of Saint Patrick Parish to serve Italian immigrants in the Northside neighborhood of San Jose.
