The Dewan Tunku Canselor, also popularly known as DTC, is one of the 47 buildings listed under the National Heritage list, as well as a UNESCO Heritage Building. The building was named and officiated by the first prime minister of Malaysia, Tunku Abdul Rahman on 25 June 1966 where he became the university's chancellor at that time.
