The Mysterious Cities of Gold (French: Les Mystérieuses Cités d'Or) is an animated series that serves as a sequel and a continuation of the original 1982 television series of the same name. [ 1 ] [ 2 ] The series premiered on La Trois in Belgium on November 17, 2012.
The series was originally broadcast in Japan and the French version, edited with different characterization and music, was subsequently redubbed and distributed in many countries. It is currently licensed for English-language home video release in the United Kingdom, Australia, and North America by Fabulous Films.
The 39 episodes of the animated series The Mysterious Cities of Gold were co-produced between DiC Entertainment and Studio Pierrot.The series premiere episode was broadcast in Japan on NHK on May 1st, 1982, and it entirely ran for 39 episodes until its conclusion on February 5th, 1983.
