Delta Zeta (ΔΖ, also known as DZ) is an international college sorority founded on October 24, 1902, at Miami University in Oxford, Ohio.Delta Zeta has 163 collegiate chapters in the United States and Canada, and over 180 alumnae chapters in Canada, the United Kingdom, and the United States.

Founded in 1902, the Delta chapter of Delta Zeta (ΔΖ) was the sorority's second oldest active and fourth oldest chapter overall.Despite its long history at DePauw, however, the Delta chapter in recent years had struggled with declining membership and acquired a negative reputation on campus.
These merged into existing Delta Zeta chapters on their respective campuses. [1] Fairly early, a chapter at Ripon College reverted to its local name. Thirty years later it would become an Alpha Phi chapter. A chapter at Utah State University reverted to its local name, briefly, before becoming a Delta Delta Delta chapter. [5]

In the period following, chapters were taken over by Alpha Omicron Pi, Alpha Gamma Delta, Sigma Kappa, and Kappa Alpha Theta. The group disbanded in 1946. Through an NPC committee, Delta Zeta was asked to consider the alumnae and a few chapters which remained. In 1946, the members of ΦΩΠ were accepted into Delta Zeta sorority. [6]
