The Archdiocese of Detroit (Latin: Archidiœcesis Detroitensis) is a Latin Church ecclesiastical territory, or archdiocese, of the Catholic Church covering the south-east portion of Michigan in the United States. The archdiocese consists counties of Lapeer, Macomb, Monroe, Oakland, St. Clair, and Wayne.
The bishop's sale of the reserved diocesan properties yielded over $164,000 for the diocesan treasury. The sold properties included: the triangular block between Bates and Congress Streets and Cadillac Square, a triangular piece on Randolph Street, and 12 lots on Miami Avenue.
In 1948, the church turned the building over to the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Detroit for use as offices.
