[3] During his tenure, Katy ISD grew from a Class A district to one with two 5A high schools. [4] Taylor High is a 1996 Blue Ribbon School, [5] and was ranked 1,499 out of all U.S. high schools by U.S. News & World Report in 2022. [6]
The school originally opened in 1996 and was then called West Houston Charter School. [2] The school was renamed in 2006. It has three campuses, two of which serve a portion of the Katy Independent School District area, and the remaining one the Cypress Fairbanks Independent School District area.
