Arthur Warren "Kit" Murray (December 26, 1918 – July 25, 2011) [1] was a United States test pilot who flew test flights on the Bell X-1 and the Bell X-5 aircraft. He was the first pilot to see the curvature of the Earth and set an unofficial altitude record of more than 90,000 feet at over twice the speed of sound.
Captain Katrina Mumaw (born c. 1983 in Lancaster, California), is a United States Air Force Academy graduate and accomplished pilot who holds several records in aviation.
