In Disney's Return to Oz (1985), Billina is a main character. She is an animatronic puppet performed by Mak Wilson and voiced by Denise Bryer. Like the books, Billina arrived in the Land of Oz with Dorothy Gale. Later on, she hides in Jack Pumpkinhead's head.

John Fricke (born November 30, 1950) is a historian and author focusing on The Wizard of Oz and Judy Garland. Fricke was born and raised in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, where he attended John Marshall High School and worked in advertising at the Melody Top Theater. He majored in Journalism at Northwestern University. [1]
His first feature film as an actor was Return to Oz (1985), in which he played the lead Wheeler; he also worked behind the scenes as a performance co-ordinator. His work on Return to Oz led to roles in other fantasy films, including The Golden Child (1986) and Masters of the Universe (1987).
