The William Manatt House, also known as the Brooklyn Historical Museum, is a historic dwelling located in Brooklyn, Iowa, United States. It is associated with the settlement of the town. Manatt and his father Robert moved from Holmes County, Ohio and settled in Poweshiek County in 1848.
The Center for Brooklyn History was founded in 1863 by Henry Pierrepont (1808–1888) [6] as the Long Island Historical Society, with a charter from the New England Historical Society in Boston. [7] In 1985, the society changed its name to the Brooklyn Historical Society (BHS).

The Crescent Athletic Club House, completed in Brooklyn Heights in 1906, is now known as The Bosworth Building of Saint Ann's School. The club's papers reside with the Brooklyn Historical Society. [1]
