Perry High School is a public high school located in Perry, Ohio. It is the only high school in the Perry Local School District. Perry High School is located next to the Middle School and Elementary school. The school's athletic teams are nicknamed the Pirates and they compete in the Chagrin Valley Conference.

Perry Township was established in 1812, and named after Oliver Hazard Perry (1785–1819), an American naval officer. [4] It is one of twenty-six Perry Townships statewide. [5] By the 1830s, Perry Township contained three churches, four flouring mills, and five saw mills. [6]
The first school in the township was established in Kendal. Public schools or common schools came into existence in Perry Township in 1825. By 1875, Perry Township had seven one-room schools.
