In 1977 the Navy (Marine) of Suriname received three large patrol vessels from the Dutch, built by De Vries Scheepsbouw. With a length of 32 meters each ship had two Paxman 12YHMC diesel engines of 1200HP performing a maximum speed of 20 knots. Delivery was between February 1977 and 1978 and the hull numbers were S-401, S-402 and S-403.

The boats are being built by Dockyard and Engineering Works Limited under licence from PT Lundin Indonesia. 8 of 18 vessels are commissioned with Bangladesh Navy. These 11.7 meters long boats are armed with a 12.7 mm machine gun mount on cabin top and two additional gun mounts on the after deck.

Coastal survey ship: BNS Tallashi (H 582) 85: Chinese made Landing Craft Mechanized. She was converted into coastal survey vessel in 1983 with the addition of survey equipment. 25 m length. 2 × twin 14.5 mm guns. After serving the Bangladesh Navy for around 36 years, the ship was decommissioned on 19 December 2019. [8] [9]
Delivery was completed on 3 August 2016. Two ships arrived in Chittagong on 2 November 2016. CGS Mansoor Ali and CGS Kamaruzzaman were delivered after refitting on 12 October 2017 and arrived in Mongla on 22 December 2017. Last two ships were commissioned on 15 November 2020. [3] [4] [5] [1]
