ABBA: The Movie [a] is a 1977 mockumentary comedy-drama film about the Swedish pop group ABBA's Australian tour. An international co-production from the band's native Sweden and the tour's Australia, the film was directed by Lasse Hallström , who previously helmed most of the band's videos.

A preliminary version of "The Name of the Game" was worked into the 1977 feature film ABBA: The Movie, for which it was written. When it was eventually finished, it was released as the lead single from ABBA: The Album in October 1977. Originally, another track entitled "Hole in Your Soul" was intended for release, but those plans were soon shelved.
It was the first ABBA album to be mainly recorded at Polar Studios in Stockholm, and the only ABBA album to include a studio recording made outside Sweden: the instrumental backing track for the title track was partly recorded at Criteria Studios in Miami. Voulez-Vous was first released on CD in 1984.
