The "Real World Connections" program was developed to help younger students get a head start in the science and technology field, and is run by the Professor and members of the college-level capstone course. William Charles Van Buskirk [1] (born 11 March 1942) [2] was the Provost and Senior Vice President for Academic Affairs of New Jersey Institute of Technology (NJIT) in Newark, New Jersey from Oct 1998 to June 2004, [3] [4] and he retired in December 2011 as a Distinguished Professor in the Department of Biomedical Engineering and was the Foundation Professor of Biomechanical Engineering at NJIT.
