Jujutsu Kaisen (呪術廻戦, rgh. "Sorcery Battle") [b] is a Japanese anime television series produced by MAPPA, based on the manga series of the same name by Gege Akutami.The story follows high school student Yuji Itadori as he joins a secret organization of Jujutsu Sorcerers to eliminate a powerful Curse named Ryomen Sukuna, of whom Yuji becomes the host.
Yuji Itadori is a boy who excels at using his physical skills in school sports, but who nevertheless prefers to be part of the Occult Club. The same day his grandfather passes away, he meets Megumi Fushiguro, a sorcerer from the Tokyo Institute of Occult Arts, who is looking for a cursed object of special rank from the most powerful cursed spirit in history: Ryomen Sukuna.
The anime series was announced in the 52nd issue of Weekly Shōnen Jump published in November 2019. [1] The story follows high school student Yuji Itadori as he joins a secret organization of Jujutsu Sorcerers in order to kill a powerful Curse named Ryomen Sukuna , to which Yuji becomes host.
Jujutsu Kaisen originates from the four chapter series Tokyo Metropolitan Curse Technical School, later retitled Jujutsu Kaisen 0.In retrospect, Akutami found the early design of Yuta Okkotsu too similar to that of fellow Jujutsu Sorcerer Megumi Fushiguro in the main series, thinking this they might confuse readers.
