Though structured as a single-tier municipality, Kawartha Lakes is the size of a typical Ontario county and is mostly rural. The Kawartha Lakes (/kə'wɔrθɐ/) are a chain of lakes in south-central Ontario, Canada that form the upper watershed of the Trent River. The lakes are located on the boundary between the Paleozoic limestone regions of the Golden Horseshoe , and the Precambrian granite Canadian Shield of northern and central Ontario.
Cameron is an unincorporated village in the City of Kawartha Lakes, in east-central Ontario, Canada. The village has a population of approximately 221 residents. [citation needed] Cameron is located at the junction of Highway 35, and Kawartha Lakes Road 34, 11 km north-west of Lindsay.
During ownership by Metroland Publishing, a similar news style was used with common pages in both Fenelon and Bobcaygeon papers, and the Lindsay This Week newspaper. The paper was incorporated into Kawartha Lakes This Week in late 2004 in keeping with the amalgamation of Lindsay, Fenelon Falls and Bobcaygeon into the City of Kawartha Lakes.
