Rush Copley Medical Center in Aurora, Illinois, is a 210-bed hospital in the greater Fox Valley area. It is named after Ira Clifton Copley, who donated over $2 million for the original hospital. It is part of the Rush University System for Health, which includes Rush University Medical Center in Chicago and Rush Oak Park Hospital.
[1] In August 2018, the city approved a plan for the hospital to be renovated by Fox Valley Developers LLC and Kluber Architects + Engineers, with the intention of converting it into a nursing home and apartments for people with disabilities. [3] In December 2024, the site reopened as Atrevete Café 1888. [4]
In January 1997, Waubonsee established the Aurora Fox Valley Campus, next to Copley Medical Center, which houses healthcare programs and offers general education courses.
