Exchange Place is a modern skyscraper located at the block of 43–53 State Street or 1 Exchange Place, between Congress and Kilby Streets, in the Financial District of Boston, Massachusetts. Built in 1981–1985, it is tied for Boston's 17th tallest building , standing 510 feet (155 m) tall, and containing 40 floors.
The Boston Stock Exchange's original headquarters was on the third floor of the Washington Bank Building at 47 State Street. In 1844, the BSE moved to the fourth floor of the Merchants Exchange . On March 28, 1853, the exchange moved to the Union Bank Building at 40 State Street.
The Exchange Place Historic District in Downtown Salt Lake City, Utah, United States is a historic district that was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1978. It included ten contributing buildings and three non-contributing buildings on a 6.2-acre (2.5 ha) area, with significance dating to 1903.
