Coleherne Court is a large apartment block on the Old Brompton Road in the Earl's Court district of the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea. Coleherne Court stands on the site of the former Coleherne House and Hereford House. It was built between 1901 and 1904. It was constructed in red brick and Portland stone. [1]
The Zetland Arms is a pub in South Kensington, London, on the corner of Old Brompton Road and Bute Street. It dates from the mid-1840s. [1] The pub is one of the few surviving original buildings from when this area was first developed. [2] In 1875, there was a brawl at the pub which started with insults about the Devonshire origin of some drinkers.
A third arterial road at right angles to the former two is the Cromwell Road, designated as the A4 that carries traffic between central London and Heathrow Airport and beyond to the West. A fourth road that creates a box with the other three is the A 3218, Old Brompton Road, better described as a trunk road.
