The Đại Việt sử ký toàn thư (chữ Hán: 大越史記全書; Vietnamese: [ɗâːjˀ vìət ʂɨ᷉ kǐ twâːn tʰɨ]; Complete Annals of Great Việt) is the official national chronicle of the Đại Việt, that was originally compiled by the royal historian Ngô Sĩ Liên under the order of the Emperor Lê Thánh Tông and was finished in 1479 during the Lê period.

The records of the Đại Việt sử ký toàn thư and Đại Nam thực lục both suggest that Dương Chấp Nhất tried to assassinate the emperor Lê Trang Tông by pretending to surrender. However, the plot was unsuccessful, and then he changed his target to Nguyễn Kim, who was in charge of power and the military.
[1] [2] It was the Emperor Thái Tông who commissioned Lê Văn Hưu to compile the official historical text of the Trần dynasty named Đại Việt sử ký. [3] The 30-volume ( quyển ) text was completed and offered to the Emperor Trần Thánh Tông in January 1272 and was praised by Thánh Tông for its quality.
Quốc âm thi tập helped lead the development of chữ Nôm as a script for Vietnamese, but also to progress it as a tool for representing the Vietnamese language and its poetic themes not found in Literary Chinese poems. [2] The text itself contains approximately 12,500 different Nôm characters that were used during the 15th century. [3]
