Manchester High School Central is a public high school in Manchester, New Hampshire. Located in the city's downtown, it has an enrollment of approximately 1,200 students. [3] Students attend from Manchester Hooksett. The name was changed from Manchester High School in 1922 when Manchester West High School opened.
Previously Bedford had an agreement with the district so that students were sent to Manchester West High School. [3] Beginning in fall 2007 Bedford stopped sending new students to Manchester West, so it could instead send them to Bedford High School. By fall 2009 Bedford no longer sent any levels to Manchester West. [4]
As of the 2023–2024 school year, both the Upper and Middle school follow and 8-day block schedule. The Upper School's academic day is between 8:00 am to 3:00 pm, whilst the Middle School's is between 7:50 am to 2:25 pm. [5] [6] Both the Middle School and Upper School contain English, mathematics, science, STEM, world language, history, and 'Leadership, Ethics & Development (LEAD)' programs.
