Route 94 was one of the original 1922 highways, but its western terminus was in St. Charles at Route 2 (now U.S. Route 40) and Route 9 (now U.S. Route 61). US 40/61 are now part of Interstate 64, an important freeway in the area. This highway joins with Route 364 for a short distance in St. Charles County.
Missouri Route 370 (Route 370) is a freeway that connects St. Louis County with St. Charles County via the Discovery Bridge over the Missouri River.The St. Charles County segment of the freeway is signed as the Patrick J. After passage of the Missouri Plank Road Law in 1851, it became an oak plank road. In 1865, St. Charles Road was rebuilt with macadam and renamed St. Charles Rock Road. In 1921, it became the first concrete state highway in St. Louis County. In 1953, St. Charles Rock Road was completed as a divided two-lane highway along much of its length.
Crossing Route 32 at "one of the oldest French Colonial settlements west of the Mississippi River (1735)", Ste. Genevieve, the road continues through Ste. Genevieve County. The highway then turns northwest and meets US 67 at Festus. The two highways overlap until separating in the St. Louis area in Ladue, where US 61 meets I-64 and US 40.
Route 25 intersects Illinois Route 56 in North Aurora, Illinois Route 38 in Geneva, and Illinois Route 64 in St. Charles. Route 25 continues northward through South Elgin and into Elgin, intersecting with U.S. Highway 20 , and forming the western terminus of both Illinois Route 19 and Illinois Route 58 there.
