New Hampshire Route 49 (abbreviated NH 49) is a 11.297-mile-long (18.181 km) east–west state highway in Grafton County, within the White Mountains in central New Hampshire. It runs from Campton to Waterville Valley , and serves mainly to allow traffic to access the Waterville Valley Resort ski area.
Newton is in southeastern New Hampshire, in southern Rockingham County.It is bordered to the south by the town of Merrimac in Massachusetts.According to the United States Census Bureau, the town has a total area of 10.0 square miles (25.8 km 2), of which 9.8 square miles (25.4 km 2) are land and 0.2 square miles (0.4 km 2) are water, comprising 1.47% of the town. She is buried in Thornton cemetery. On April 14, 1784, records show Thornton needed to petition for reinstatement of ferry rights which again had been confiscated by the town upon the occasion of Sarah's death. He was successful and sold the rights in 1797 to his son Matthew Jr. [3]
