In 2014, Nhi released her second album I Wanna Dance, featuring pop-electronic songs. The album's lead single, "I Wanna Dance", topped many music charts in Vietnam, as well as Chinese and Spanish charts. The song won Favorite Pop - Electronic Song at the Zing Music Awards 2014. Nhi also won Favorite Female Singer for the fourth time.
Billboard Vietnam publishes two weekly singles charts, namely Vietnam Hot 100 and Top Vietnamese Songs, with their first issue launched on January 4, 2022. Both charts measure tracks' activities in digital downloads and online streaming , but only Vietnamese-language songs are ranked on the latter.

Much of Vietnamese theatre and Vietnamese music are intertwined with each other, as well as with Vietnamese dance. Popular theatre forms such as Hát tuồng, [1] Hát chèo, [2] and Cải lương [3] all often feature dance, however these dances are performed in a liberal manner without set rules, unlike other more specific dance styles.

Ngô Thanh Vân was born on 26 February 1979 in Trà Vinh, Vietnam. [1] She is the youngest child with two older brothers. When she was 10, her family put her in a boat to escape the Vietnamese communist government. In 1990, Vân arrived in Norway as a boat refugee with an aunt. [2] [3] She was subsequently naturalized as a Norwegian citizen.
