Pruntytown is an unincorporated community at the junction of the Northwestern Turnpike (U.S. Route 50) and U.S. Route 250 in Taylor County, West Virginia, USA. It was formerly the county seat and is currently the site of the Pruntytown Correctional Center (formerly West Virginia Industrial Home for Boys).

Pruntytown Correctional Center (PCC) is a state prison for West Virginia, located at Pruntytown near Grafton, West Virginia, USA. The premises were previously used for a juvenile detention center known as the West Virginia Industrial Home for Boys , which closed in 1983.

Taylor County is a county in the U.S. state of West Virginia. As of the 2020 census, the population was 16,705. [1] Its county seat is Grafton. [2] The county was formed in 1844 [3] and named for Senator John Taylor of Caroline. Taylor County is part of the Clarksburg, WV Micropolitan Statistical Area.
