In April 2017, Yoon, alongside Kang Daniel, Kim Jae-han, Joo Jin-woo and Choi Tae-woong participated in Produce 101 Season 2 as trainees of MMO Entertainment.Yoon placed eighth in the show's final episode and made his debut with Wanna One during Wanna One Premier Show-Con on August 7, 2017, at the Gocheok Sky Dome with the debut mini-album 1×1=1 (To Be One).
Wanna One (Korean: 워너원) was a South Korean boy band formed by CJ E&M through the second season of Produce 101. [1] The group was composed of eleven members: Kang Daniel , Park Ji-hoon , Lee Dae-hwi , Kim Jae-hwan , Ong Seong-wu , Park Woo-jin , Lai Kuan-lin , Yoon Ji-sung , Hwang Min-hyun , Bae Jin-young , and Ha Sung-woon .
The public also chose the group's concept, debut song and group name. In the season finale on June 16, 2017, which was broadcast live, the show announced the final 11 members who would debut as Wanna One. More than 16 million people cast their votes during the finale, equivalent to around 30% of South Korea's population. [1]
