I hope MS does come up with a way to do this (forward or transfer email to new outlook name) if the name is already created. It would be easy to validate the owner and set this up with a few simple rules, at least at first. 1. The main email name must be identical, with only changing the (hotmail, msn) to outlook.

Now I have the new Outlook, when i try to open the saved / downloaded emails on my windows explorer, Outlook opens, but it goes straight to calendar - it does not open the email i had saved and downloaded. Even when Outlook is already open, I double click on the saved / downloaded email but again it just opens the calendar.

I have the same problem, using Outlook client in Office365. My other email accounts (outlook, live, and hotmail) in the same client still login properly. I’m using the same (POP) settings for all four accounts. This problem started about 22 hours ago.
