So today I forgot my M1 MBA charge brick at home, but had a cable and a HomePod mini at my office. Turns out HomePod’s 20W brick is capable to charge M1 MacBook Air from 20% to 100% in around 4 hours, even when using it for work with a 4k monitor. Hopefully it won’t hurt my laptop battery. Probably the opposite.

Also, even with small raw files, when you zoom in and pan around the image, the image freezes every time you move it. “Normal” Lightroom (non-classic) runs a lot smoother.

After analysing apple service centre team said M1 logic board failure and they can't retrieve back data and entire mother board need to be replaced.

This is for the entire laptop. Overall, I'd say that 61W charger is plenty for the laptop with some external devices connected. satcomer.

My M1 Air still runs best on Big Sur despite trying all on OSes to date, with the worst being Monterey. The same goes with my old mid-2010 MBP, best on Snow Leopard, worse on Mavericks.
