The National Arts Festival (NAF) is an annual festival of performing arts in Makhanda, South Africa. It is the largest arts festival on the African continent [2] and one of the largest performing arts festivals in the world by visitor numbers. [3] The festival runs for 11 days, from the last week of June to the first week of July every year.
The Cape Town International Jazz Festival started in 2000 [1] [8] as part of the North Sea Jazz Festival. This was part of an arrangement that came about as a result of the partnership between espAfrika (a South African events management company founded by Rashid Lombard) and Mojo Concerts BV, the founders of the Dutch North Sea Jazz Festival.
