Cheers Luke, I punched the PD part number in & found the US Battery US8VGCXC2. Case is identical. C20 is 170AH (same as T875) though C5 is markedly lower - 130AH, so my guess at 135 was not so bad.

A golf cart is the best tester. Likely you have a 50 amp or a 100 amp tester. That's good for car batteries but golf cart batteries should be tested at 2 to 3 times this load. The cart itself will provide the load under hard start preferably uphill. Simple fix alligator clamps to your meter and test each battery.

I recently purchased 6 8v batteries from Costco. I talked to a local golf cart service specialist and told him some problems I've been having with my cart. These problems started happening before purchasing my new costco batteries. He told me the first thing I need to do is sell back my Costco batteries, they are no good...

Re: Can I put 4-12 volt batteries in my Club Car instead of 6-8 volt? I was just about to order the 2 ga cables for my soon to come 48v 4 battery set and y'all start this. So, my CC has the 4 batteries and they rest on the aluminum frame. the 8 volts would fall to the ground so I know there is some sort of adapter for this somewhere.

I have a 1998 48v ds club car and want to switch to 12v batteries. I can get a great deal on 12v batteries. I read the sticky about 12v to 8v but that was a slightly different cart. I know that I will lose some power, but it is only used in a small campground. If you have any thoughts, please let me know. Thanks for looking.

Or can I use 3 12v batteries in my 36v golf cart? You can use 3/12v batteries in series to create a 36v power supply. However this supply will be lacking in amperage capacity and deep cycle ability. The result will be poor run time and shortened battery lifetime. The batteries should be golf cart specific batteries.

From what I've found so far they are made by East Penn/ Deka batteries.

I will be running the DS IQ Level 4 upgrade from Revolution Golf Cars and charging duties will be handled by the Lester Summit II charger on board. I plan to do either a 4" or 6" lift and probably 22" tires (not certain yet). Cart will be a campground cruiser.
