I think, the best shaders in 2023 are BSL Shaders, Complementary Reimagined, SEUS PTGI E12, HRR 3, HRR 2.1, Kappa Shaders, AstraLex Shaders, when you want vanilla style then Super Duper Vanilla, when super High realistic and ray-traced then any SEUS Shader.
So I am trying to get a shaderpack and the directions are telling me to go to %appdata&\.minecraft , which idk how to do, and search for the shaderpacks folder, and place the .zip in that folder. So i open files and try searching for shaderpacks and nothing shows up. What do i do.
For a non-vanilla alternative: Des Bijoux Textures. It's the only really polished ray-tracing texture pack that I've found that seems to make their own unique pixel-art-style textures from scratch. If nothing else, check out their light-gray (silver in the file name) glazed terracotta block. It's so cool.

No Shaderpack Folder? Hello, I am currently running Minecraft with the latest fabric version along with iris and replay mod. I have access to the iris video settings while in the video settings tab in-game, however while using iris alone there is an option to open shaderpack folder. On fabric with iris shaders however, that option does not exist.
This modpack uses a different rendering engine called Flywheel that helps with performance. Its major optimizations are disabled when you use optifine shaders. I run optifine/shaders with Create and have found that Complimentary shaders have the best compatibility out of the well-known versions.
I have a 2080 super, an i9-9900k processor, and 32 gigs of ram, yet I can't seem to get above 40 fps when running any shader. I have tried reinstalling Java, allocating all different amounts of memory to Minecraft, (xmx4, 8, 12, 16, and even 24). I am completely stumped.
SEUS PTGI's shaders are probably the most realistic, you can find them for free now under the Sonic Ether patreon. For realistic textures there aren't a ton but Stratum can look pretty real and the free version has all the textures just at 128x (not too different than the higher res ones as somebody who got them imo). Incomplete but semi real.

i tried to use a very basic shader called "Sildurs Vibrant Shaders v1.163 Lite" which should run on basically anything. i have a very good alienware gaming laptop: Processor: Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-4720HQ CPU @ 2.60GHz 2.60GHz. System Type: 64-bit operating system, x64-based processor. i'm open for any suggestions
