I've noticed that the quality of the content has dropped a lot, and there is a huge influx of bot accounts and bot generated content, mostly from web scrapping. I've deleted the app and I'm looking for alternatives and stumbled upon Memedroid. It seems the owner is from Spain and overall it looks way more legit overall than 9gag.

Rip. You can't really delete an account. You just stop using it and get a new one. What is it. I believe you can just contact Novagecko through email and they can help. I once changed my name instead of my alt, but then I managed to get my alt and my own name changed. I just kinda left my old one. Thought I'd start anew.

In the early days Memedroid was a really nice place full of fun and harmless OC rage comics (it was around 2011). Later rage comics faded away and more current memes replaced them, still ok but not like a cool community driven app. Since 2015 (iirc) it became HELL with porn, shitty stuff that wasn't even memes and weird right wing stuff.

Yeah man. It's very surprising to learn that it's still so prevalent, and so out in the open. The internet is to blame too, where these people can go burry their head in the sand and just validate their beliefs with others who believe that the same.
