Nickelodeon Productions is a production studio in New York, that provides original sitcoms, animated shows and game-related programs for Nickelodeon. Despite this, the studio's logo is also seen at the end of animated TV shows. It was founded as Games Productions in 1987, after MTV Networks was purchased by Viacom. [43]

The channel still airs reruns of shows that originated on the TEENick block (such as iCarly), but as of the mid-2010s, all original productions from the Noggin block have been dropped. TeenNick's lineup primarily features reruns of programming that had aired on the main Nickelodeon channel.
The channel was available to all digital cable providers and satellite provider Dish Network. With its focus on classic Nickelodeon game shows (most of which had been removed from the parent network between 1999 and 2002), Nick GAS was essentially a children's version of (and Viacom's answer to) Game Show Network and ESPN.
