The Prime Minister of Mongolia is the head of government of Mongolia. [1] The office was established in 1912, shortly after the Bogd Khanate of Mongolia declared its independence from the Qing dynasty during the Mongolian Revolution of 1911.

Tsengeltiin Jigjidjav (Mongolian: Цэнгэлтийн Жигжиджав), (1894 – May 22, 1933) was prime minister of Mongolia from 1930 to 1932. Jigjidjav was born in present-day Halzan district, in Sükhbaatar Province. He graduated from the Finance Ministry’s school of accountancy in 1924.

He served as chief abbot of the Manjusri Monastery and later was the last acting prime minister of Outer Mongolia during Baron Ungern von Sternberg's occupation of Ikh Khŭree from May to July 1921. Later accused of counterrevolution, he was executed in 1937 at the start of the Stalinist purges in Mongolia (1937–1939).
