The Lincoln Lodge, on Stemple Pass Rd. in Lincoln, Montana, was built in 1929.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1986. [1]It was deemed "significant for its architecture as an excellent example of a vernacular Rustic design influenced by the Adirondack Rustic style, popularized in the Adirondack region of northern New York from 1870 to 1930.

Hill developed the Glacier Park lodges as part of his plan to upgrade Great Northern passenger services and compete more effectively with the rival Northern Pacific and Union Pacific Railroads, whose proximity to Yellowstone National Park provided a major attraction for tourists along those routes. Although it is one of the few western ski resorts located east of the continental divide, the area receives consistent light snows.
The resort was originally named after the Gregson brothers that purchased the area in 1869, but was given its current name after being acquired in the early 1970s by Lloyd Wilder. Wilder sold the resort in 1981, but later repurchased it. [7] [8] [9] In early 2020, the resort was severely affected by the COVID-19 pandemic.
