Africa is a continent comprising 63 political territories, representing the largest of the great southward projections from the main mass of Earth's surface. [1] Within its regular outline, it comprises an area of 30,368,609 km 2 (11,725,385 sq mi), excluding adjacent islands.
This incorporates countries south of central and eastern Africa, and north of the South African border. The region has support from the most developed economy on the continent from the south, and access to capital coming out of South Africa as large companies look to expand into the rest of the continent.
Seaside of Egypt's third-largest city and its ancient capital: Alexandria, the largest port in this bicontinental country. East Africa's central business hub and Kenya's capital, Nairobi. Cape Peninsula of Cape Town, Africa's southernmost city and the second largest one in South Africa, also its legislative capital. Kampala is the hub of Uganda.
