In 1984, the Pittsburgh History and Landmarks Foundation initiated a campaign to restore the monument. [9] As a result, while the sculptures are original, [9] the remainder of the monument, including the stone pedestals and bench, is a replica. [5] Today, the monument is located in Allegheny Center, across from the library building. [5]
