Carl K. Linge died in 1963 and his son, David E. Linge (the second generation) became president. David E. Linge had been working with his father for a number of years. David founded The Cedar Memorial Funeral Home Company in 1965 creating the first combination operation in the state of Iowa with a funeral home on the cemetery grounds.
The tornado was the first F5 or EF5 tornado in Iowa since one hit Jordan on June 13, 1976, and the second deadliest in Iowa since official record-keeping began in 1950. The deadliest tornado affected the Charles City area on May 15, 1968, and killed 13 while producing F5 damage. [12]

Charles Wolf House, also known as the Parkersburg Historical Home, is a historic building located in Parkersburg, Iowa, United States. Wolf was a native of Freeport, Illinois who moved to Parkersburg in 1875 after he, his father and brother-in-law bought the Exchange Bank.
